Brush-Heavy Property Reclaimed for Usable Outdoor Space
1The Problem
The homeowner purchased a property with a large backyard that was completely overgrown with dense brush, wild grape vine, and invasive honeysuckle. The area was unusable and created a tick and wildlife management concern close to the home.
2Our Approach
Empire performed forestry mulching to clear all brush and invasive growth. The mulching head processed everything into fine mulch that was left as ground cover, creating an immediate visual improvement and erosion barrier. Selective clearing preserved three mature oak trees the homeowner wanted to keep.
Equipment Used
- Kubota SVL75 with Fecon Bullhog mulching head
3The Result
The half-acre backyard was transformed from an impenetrable tangle into a clean, park-like space with three preserved oak trees. The mulch layer suppressed regrowth and gave the area an attractive, natural finish.
Client Outcome
The homeowner was thrilled with how the project turned out. They added a firepit area and play space for their children within weeks. The tick concern was significantly reduced by eliminating the dense brush habitat.
