Overgrown 2-Acre Lot Cleared for Home-Site Prep
1The Problem
The property had been neglected for over a decade. Dense brush, saplings up to 6 inches in diameter, and heavy Japanese Barberry growth made the lot completely unusable. The homeowner needed the site cleared, stumps removed, and rough grading completed before their builder could break ground.
2Our Approach
Empire performed a satellite property review to map vegetation density and identify access points. Forestry mulching cleared all brush and saplings in a single pass, converting biomass into protective ground cover. Stump grinding followed, with all stumps taken below grade. Light rough grading prepared the building pad and driveway approach.
Equipment Used
- Kubota SVL75 with Fecon Bullhog mulching head
- Stump grinder
- Skid steer with grading bucket
3The Result
The 2-acre lot was transformed from an impenetrable thicket into a clean, build-ready site with defined building pad and driveway approach. Mulch left on-site provided erosion control during the construction phase.
Client Outcome
The homeowner's builder was able to start foundation work within two weeks of clearing. The project came in on budget with no surprises, and the homeowner reported the site looked better than expected.
